For the first time since the competition began in 1960, the Par 3 Contest was washed out.
With storms moving in at Augusta National Golf Club, officials decided to suspend play for the rest of the day at 1:25 p.m. ET.
The Par 3 Contest was scheduled to start at noon ET, but was pushed back to 12:30. Children and spouses traditionally play caddie for players in the event.
At 10 a.m., patrons were evacuated from the course and allowed back in at 12:30.
