The Age of Empires: Castle Siege game made its debut on Windows Phone platform back in 2014, while iOS users got it one year later. Three years after the initial release, the game makes its way to Android devices.

Despite what some of you might think, Age of Empires: Castle Siege is not a real-time strategy game, as it plays more like a tower defense game. Think of it as Microsoft’s own version of Clash of Clans. Obviously, the game is available for free, but it comes with in-app purchases.

Basically, you’ll be able to choose from one of the several civilizations included in the game, such as Britons, Teutons, and Kievan Rus. You can also build your keep, as well as fortify and upgrade your walls and garrison’s defensive capabilities.

The game also features a technology tree that players can research, but that will take time and resources. Famous heroes in the history make an appearance in the game too, including Saladin, Richard the Lionheart, and Joan of Arc. The best part is that players can recruit these heroes who have various abilities.

Also, if you have an Xbox Live account, you’ll be able to continue to play from where you left across Android, iOS and Windows devices.
