Will Young refused an invite to the grand Strictly Come Dancing finale – after quitting the show for ‘personal reasons’.
He also didn’t appear in Len Goodman’s tribute reel, in which various celebrities praised the head judge for his excellent feedback over the years.
Pop-star-turned-theatre-star Will was the only celebrity from this year’s series who didn’t take part in the show – which featured a group dance with every eliminated contestant.

While Will, 37, was never eliminated, sources said bosses extended an invite to him to celebrate the Strictly finale, which was won this year by Ore Oduba.
An insider told The Sun: “[Will] was asked to be part of the group dance… it’s a great routine which welcomes back this year’s Class of 2016. He politely declined.”
Will leaving the show back in October claiming “personal reasons” actually skewed the entire Strictly timetable, meaning the final had to be held a day earlier than it should have been.
It also meant there were three, not four, finalists – Ore and his partner Joanne Clifton, Louise Redknapp and her partner Kevin Clifton, and Danny Mac with Oti Mabuse.
